Six Flags Fiesta Texas is adding a new roller coaster, one unique to San Antonio.

The Kid Flash Cosmic Coaster is expected to open this summer, Six Flags wrote in a news release. The twin tracks will cross over and under each other 12 times during the ride cycle, "like a twisted bowl of spaghetti," Six Flags wrote.

According to Jeff Filicko, marketing and communications manager for Six Flags Fiesta, the attraction named for the DC Comics character is the only racing coaster in Texas.

The coaster will run two trains on dueling tracks, allowing guests to compete in a race to the finish. Kid Flash, designed by Skyline Attractions, spans more than 1,000 feet and a maximum elevation of 23 feet. The coaster is designed to provide offerings for both young and old alike and comes with a minimum height requirement of 36 inches.

The coaster also comes with an LED lighting display along the track's top and sides, a "kaleidoscope of lights and colors," Six Flags wrote. The LED display is meant to immerse Kid Flash riders in a comic book story. There are a variety of preprogrammed display options creating a "dynamic ride experience to be enjoyed by riders of all ages."
